Trala Lama
Philip de Jong (1971) a.k.a. Trala Lama Started out playing reggae music, first just for himself (and the neighbours) then for small audiences, he then moved through club and techno towards underground chill-out and ambient. During the last decade he has been performing in the Amsterdam underground scene as well as internationally under the name Trala Lama as a chill-out dj, semi-live chill-out act, chaishop operator, web designer, party decorator and driving force behind many outrageous projects such as the Hula-Hula Service Centre, Grow your own Coffeeshop, Useless People Magazine, various DIY Workshops, The Clueless Project/In Progress and The Uhmbrellic Society. For many years he has been busy trying to spread the nonsensical message of Tralalism to the outside world through various websites, printed documents and endlessly vague monologues on the subject. Currently he is putting most of his time and effort in revitalizing the semi-live chill-out project The Clueless Project/In Progress (TCP/IP) and is preparing a second cd to be released this year.
